Self-supporting glass railing without handrail – roof terrace, Wiry near Poznań
A railing on the roof terrace of a house in Wiry near Poznań. No posts and no handrail: the top edge of the glass stays open, so nothing interrupts the view from the terrace.
Project details
- Location: Wiry near Poznań, Poland
- Construction: self-supporting frameless railing with an open top edge, no handrail
- Glass: VSG 66.4 laminated from toughened ESG, Optiwhite – as in our staircase railing in Poznań
- Profile: aluminium U-profile, powder-coated in RAL 7016 (anthracite grey)
- Substrate: roof terrace with bituminous roofing felt
- Price: PLN 2,280 net per linear metre
The challenge
The profile had to be raised above the roofing felt and set in a straight line, and every fixing point passing through the roof covering had to be reliably waterproofed.
